Competency Framework
A Competency Framework is an integrated system that defines, manages, and evaluates the required
competencies for every job position in an organisation. It typically includes:
- Competency Dictionaries : Standardized definitions of the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required across roles.

Competency Gap Analysis
Competency gap analysis must be carried out using custom-made tools developed
specifically for each job position based on its Job Competency Profile (JCP).
Common Gap Analysis Methodologies Include:
- Oral & Written Questions To assess theoretical understanding and clarity of concepts.
- Observation at Work Direct evaluation of how tasks are performed in real job conditions.
